She moved here in 1979 with her family and grew up in Botany Woods under the care of her grandparents, Edward and Ann Sutherlin. She was a competitive swimmer and ran track and cross country in high school. After graduating from Wade Hampton High School, she went on to study language and humanities at the University of South Carolina, following her older sister, Stacey. Her career has been a melting pot of ‘checked off boxes’ (including becoming an Ironman in 2011). However, the one constant in her life has been her love of animals. She adopted anything and everything that needed a home over the years. At one time, she actually ran a small farm with the likes of horses, goats, ducks, guinea hens, a pot-bellied pig, and a rooster. Today, she lives in Greenville with her family. She is a proud mother of two teenage sons, four dogs and one cat. Her lifelong love of animals has led her on a quest for better health of her pets using a natural approach. Her entrepreneurial spirit has led her to create her own company.
